FARMER’S PROCLAIMATION

Our current food system is NOT working for most consumers. Most of the food we buy from the grocer is 2-3 weeks old + tasteless. At River Rock we harvest 1 - 2 days prior to sharing it. This peak freshness ensures maximum nutrition + flavor. Additionally, we only use natural growing methods - no pesticides or chemical fertilizer. Let’s face it…food is costly but buying from us means no middle man. We pass on the savings to you – in turn, you help to support a small + local business rather than a large subsidized corporation.

WHAT IS A CSA?

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a production model whereby consumers buy shares of a farm's harvest in advance. Consumers become CSA members by paying an agreed amount at the beginning of the growing season, either in one lump sum or in installments. In return, they receive a weekly share of fresh vegetables. This mutually-beneficial agreement enables the farmer to focus on what’s important – feeding consumers delicious + healthful food!!

A FOODSHARE EXAMPLE

Week 1: Proprietary Mixed greens, carrots, leeks, arugula, bok choy

Week 5: Mixed greens, carrots, fennel, kale, kohlrabi, spinach, radish

Week 10: Mixed greens, bok choy, cabbage, dandelion, carrots, tomatoes, squash

Week 15: Mixed greens, winter squash, tomatoes, cucumber, zucchini

· The 2023 Season begins in early June and ends in early October

· Shares can be picked up at the farm 

· 2024 price is 530 for a full share of the 16 week season

· Weekly recipes will be provided at no extra cost
